Teaching Artist Assistant-in-Training

Queens native Micaela recently joined Creative Art Works for her first summer Public Art Youth Employment season. She will be working with a team of youth apprentices painting a new mural for Queens County Family Court. She has previously worked as a volunteer for Groundswell and as an SYEP intern at Al Oerter Recreation Center in Queens. She has been passionate about art her entire life. Her practice includes digital and traditional illustration, painting, and collage. Micaela is pursuing an undergraduate degree in psychology at Hunter College. In her free time, she caters to the demands of Layla, her Borican mixed-breed dog, and Levi, her American mixed breed dog.
