Ryan Davis
Teaching Artist
Before joining Creative Art Works as a Teaching Artist in Residence, Ryan previously worked for CAW as a Teaching Artist Assistant and Teaching Artist, most recently leading a team of Youth Apprentices to design and paint a series of paintings for Queens Community Justice Center. Ryan has worked for many New York community art programs, including The International Print Center New York (IPCNY) and The Door, in The Bronx. He also works at Wave Hill in Riverdale as the Family Art Project Weekend Coordinator. Prior to moving to New York, he developed a community mural project at Sowers Academy Elementary School as the recipient of the Palmer Travel Scholarship. Before that, he was an Assistant Instructor at Young Artists at Work in Toledo, Ohio.
Ryan received his Master of Fine Arts with an emphasis on painting at Ohio University. He maintains his practice primarily in screen-printing and collage and has exhibited his work in New York at IPCNY and internationally in Spain and Italy. He currently lives in Brooklyn.
